A Grown - Up Book Fair Experience!

 Reignite that feeling of a childhood "Book Fair", but with better snacks and       beverages!  Join the NYSUT Retirees of Western New York for an afternoon of literary indulgence, great company, and tasty treats.

Be sure to check out this field trip on June 24, 2026 to the Chautauqua Region and Lily Dale!    Register by May 18, 2025.   Fee is $149/person- includes round trip transportation, entry into Lily Dale, lunch at the White Inn, and 6 wine tastings.   Any participant(s) who wish to schedule a private meeting with a spiritualist should book an appointment https://www.lilydaleassembly.org/find-a-medium prior to the trip between 10:00am and 11:30am.

WYNRC Retirees  celebrated NYSUT Retiree Recognition Day & welcomed new Retirees at a Luncheon on October 20th at the Columns Banquet Hall.

Trip

On June 2nd, 31 retirees & friends went on a fun filled excursion into the Southern Tier. They visited Cuba Cheese Shoppe, Sprague's Maple Farms & Seneca Allegany Casino.

The theme of this year’s Regional Conference was KNOWLEDGE IS POWER. The Conference was on May 20, 2025  at the Buffalo Niagara Marriott.

Recognution

WNY NYSUT celebrated NYSUT Retiree Recognition Day by Making a Difference.  They wrote postcards & made phone calls in support of political candidates while enjoying cake & treats.

Amish trip

On October 2, 2024, our WNYRC Program Committee hosted an  "Amish Brown Bag Tour".  Twenty-nine participants traveled by coach bus through Cherry Creek, NY and Leon, NY to experience Amish quilting, a cheese sho, a nursery/vegetable market, and an Amish bakery.
