Coalition Highlights

The NYSUT Regional Conference for Retiree Councils 1,2,3, and 44 "Empower 2026 - The Knowledge Advantage", was on May 19^th at the Buffalo Marriott Niagara.

The 2026 NYSUT RA was in Albany May 1-3. 

Sara Rodland President of RC44 was awarded the Sandy Feldman  “ Not For Ourselves Alone” Award , at the 2026 RA.

The Spring NYSUT Regional Conference for RC’s 1, 2, 3 & 44 will be on May 19^th, at the Buffalo Niagara Marriott from 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM.

A Grown - Up Book Fair Experience!

On April 20^th, the NYSUT Retirees of Western New York sponsored Books, Bites & Booze in conjunction with Merit Badge Books. It was at  NYSUT in  Williamsville. The selection of books was great as were the prizes & time being with friends in a less formal, relaxing setting.                                     

Be sure to check out this field trip on June 24, 2026 to the Chautauqua Region and Lily Dale!    Register by May 18, 2025.   Fee is $149/person- includes round trip transportation, entry into Lily Dale, lunch at the White Inn, and 6 wine tastings.   Any participant(s) who wish to schedule a private meeting with a spiritualist should book an appointment https://www.lilydaleassembly.org/find-a-medium prior to the trip between 10:00am and 11:30am.

WYNRC awards grants to WNY NYSUT members for class projects. The cost of individual projects isn’t to exceed $500. 

The 2025 WYNRC Holiday Luncheon was on December 9^th, at Salvatore's Italian Gardens.

WYNRC Retirees  celebrated NYSUT Retiree Recognition Day & welcomed new Retirees at a Luncheon on October 20^th at the Columns Banquet Hall.

On June 2^nd, 31 retirees & friends went on a fun filled excursion into the Southern Tier. They visited Cuba Cheese Shoppe, Sprague's Maple Farms & Seneca Allegany Casino.
