NYSUT Retiree Services Consultant Janet Goddard and WYNRC Board Members representing Retiree Councils 1,2,3,& 44 attended the 2026 NYSUT Retiree Council Leadership Conference . It was in Saratoga Springs June 2 ^nd & 3^rd.

The NYSUT Regional Conference for Retiree Councils 1,2,3, and 44 "Empower 2026 - The Knowledge Advantage", was on May 19^th at the Buffalo Marriott Niagara.

Tracy began her teaching career in 1982.  She was President of  the Grand Island Teachers Union. In retirement she was an active board member of RC 1. She  transitioned to Retiree Services Consultant for Retiree Councils 1,2,3, & 44, providing guidance for 7 years. Tracy has made many lasting contributions to her local and to NYSUT. 

35 years ago, at the 1991 RA delegates passed an amendment to the NYSUT Constitution that provided prepaid retiree membership with full participation, voting rights and a more formalized structure --- the birth of retiree councils.

The 2026 NYSUT RA was in Albany May 1-3.
